Oxy-Acetylene Torch Familarzation

Service Description

Safely handling a torch is a Journeyman requirement. This class is designed to teach you to use a torch to heat, cut, weld and braze. There is no specific project achieved in this class, but you will walk away with tokens of your work. Each participant will have an opportunity to try using the torch to achieve each of the processes. We will have 2 workstations with a coach at each station for your hands on practice. NOTE; Even though torch heating, cutting, welding and brazing are nowhere near as bright (intensive) as electric, for these classes we have made available a large number of dark protective goggles. Even if you just come in to observe please adhere to the instructors’ directions to use these goggles as required, or you will be asked to leave.
