About the event
Our next meeting will be June 13th. We're going to have it at Roger Bell's house in honor of his passing. The address is 7685 Deepwood Trail, Tallahassee, FL 32317. For this meeting, we're going to set up the 4-burner forge and 4 deluxe anvil stands by the back porch overlooking the lake.
We're going to have a tiny tong soapstone holder-making contest. I've already had a class at Aunt Louise's Farm in April and the demo at the Tallahassee Museum in May, so now it's time to see what we can do!
Besides the contest, if anyone wants to demonstrate some of the wonderful products that Roger (and Ron Childers) mastered over the years and shared with us, please come prepared to do so in the shop. Tomahawks and knives made from ferriers rasps and railroad spikes, and the Roger Bell steak turner come to mind.
