Service Description

Over the course of this four hour session participants will learn how to make two types, a 2D version from flat bar and a 3D from square stock. Using a variety of hand held chisels and shaping tools you will learn to sculpt these distinctive forms we all know so well. Class participants will work from examples but each workpiece will have its own character (which makes them so fun!). What you decide to do with your forged skull is up to you! While any level of smith is welcomed, those who are beginner to intermediate may get the most out of the class. A good understanding of fire maintenance and comfort with the basics of forging is recommended. We will be forging heavier stock so be prepared to work up a sweat.
