For the first time hammer swinger!
Service Description
This class is for the beginner. It will introduce you to the basic hardware including: the anvil, forge, vice, forge blower, and hammer & tongs. Coal forges will be used so fire management will be a primary focus. How you approach the anvil is important also, proper stance and how to move your body will be taught. The exact items to be produced will vary from teacher to teacher but the same core techniques will be taught. They will include: hammer control, tapering, drawing out, bending, and twisting. If you are new to blacksmithing this class can help you avoid making some pretty big mistakes that could cause you real set backs or even long term injury to yourself.

To cancel we require 72 hours' notice. If desired and if there are open slots available, we will attempt to reschedule you to a different class during the FABA convention but we will not offer refunds with less than 72 hours notice.
