Make the handle out of 5/8 inch square stock.  Make hook, chisel depressions on four sides and twist.               

 

 

Split the 5/8 Sq and make the two prongs for rivets.      Fixture for forming skillet                                    

         

 

 

Fasten 10 Ga blank into fixture and heat for forming    Heat and form with ball peen hammer

       

 

Fixture dimensions:  8 inches by 10 inches by 2 inch thick with 3/8 radius for inside radius.

Blank:  10 Gauge by 13-inch diameter

Heat and form – turning blank around fixture to get as uniform as possible.  (Some folds will form)

Grind and clean up skillet blank edges                              Adjust handle angle and fasten with ¼ inch rivets

        

 

 

Finished handle with ¼ inch round head rivets                 Holes inside of skillet - countersunk for peening.
